On 22nd November, the Books on the Underground team had a mammoth 100 copies of Heidi Kingstone’s Dispatches from the Kabul Cafe. We had fun with where to hide the books, and saw lots of engagement online from people who found them! It was such a delight to be involved with sharing this extraordinary book.

Who found the book?

'It was an absolute thing of beauty seeing the photos posted the The Book Fairies and I loved the excitement generated by Books on the Underground. What a wonderful concept to give books away and an author's dream to spread the word to a whole new audience. It really felt like the day was sprinkled with fairy dust.'
